Description:
Our company will offer services aimed at Bermuda residents as well as visitors to the island. These services include aerial tours, Avgas refueling, search and rescue and other related services.
The Company will begin operations with a single amphibious aircraft – to enable amphibious takeoffs and landings. The Cessna 206 has been identified as a suitable aircraft model due to its reliability, payload capacity (ability to carry multiple passengers) and ease of maintenance. The Company will also lease a storage tank and fuel truck to service its plane as well as to sell to external customers. The Company will operate from a base of operations at L.F. Wade International Airport, with secondary loading and unloading of passengers at Dockyard.
The Company founder, is a locally based Bermudian pilot. He is qualified to operate a variety of commercial aircraft and has an operating background in fixed base operations. Arrangements have been made with other Bermudian pilots to assist with flight duties as needed.
• The Company requires approximately $600,000 to finance startup costs and working capital requirements
• The Company’s requirements for break-even are 473 flight hours per year, billed at $600 per flight hour
• With a quite conservative estimate of 1,200 flight hours per year, the Company should generate an annual profit of approximately $300,000
• With a slightly leSs conservative estimate of 1,800 flight hours per year, the Company should generate an annual profit of approximately $540,000.
• Maximum potential of 2,000 flight hours per year should generate $630,000.
